Al Bishi awarded a certificate for the course record on the Arab Golf championship, 33 edition


Team Morocco defended their Pan Arab Golf Championship crown, winning the 33rd edition of the tournament by 14 shots over Bahrain (886) followed by Egypt (892) and Qatar (902) in the fourth place.

On the final day, Maouass shot an even-par 72 and Marjan a 74 as they tied on top of the individual leaderboard, after sudden death playoff, Marjan  won the individual title. Egypt’s Amr Aboul Ela (72) finished third at 292, while Qatar’s Saleh Ali Al Kaaby was fourth at 294.

Conditions were difficult on the final day and none of the players managed to break par. Maouass, Amr Aboul Ela, and Qatar’s Saleh Ali El Kaaby all shot even par 72 the best round of the day.

Qatar delegation was composed of Mr. Fahd Nasser Al Naimi, head of the delegation and the secretary of the Qatar Golf Association, Mr. Mohammed Faisal Al Naimi, Director of the team and Executive Director of the Association, coach Mike Elliott and the players: Ali Al-Bishi, Saleh al-Kaabi, Ghanim Al-Kuwari and Abdul Rahman Albishi

It is worth mentioning that Qatar’s Ali Abdulla Al Bishi had the lowest best score of the tournament on the third day, 66 (-6 under par) and was awarded a certificate for the course record at Dream Land up to this date.
